Presencia de una nueva fase de deformación probablemente prehercínica en el noroeste y centro de la Península Ibérica (Galicia central, Zamora y Salamanca)
Abstract
Field and thin section reconnaissance of Lower Paleozoic (and Upper Precambrian ?) terranes of Galicia, Zamora and Salamanca evidence the existence of a cleavage older than the deformation phase generally believed to be the first one (MATTE 1968) in the NW and Central part of the Hesperian Massif. This flow-cleavage is associated to isoclinal minor folds and produced a metamorphic formation of at least biotite crystals. After all available data there is the possibility of this deformation-phase being prehercynian in age.
