Bosquejo geológico de los alrededores de Zamora

Abstract

In this paper, the southeastern extension of the "Serie de San Vitero" and underlying terranes are studied until its dissapearance under the Tertiary cover near the village of Andavias (Zamora). The sequence is made out of pre-Ordovician as well as Ordovician, Silurian and Lower Devonian rocks. Four conglomerate beds are interbedded in the upper part of the sequence with sometimes metamorphic rock fragments, and aiso graywackes with plant debris.
