An Exemplary Field: Clothing}, volume={6}, url={https://revistas.usal.es/dos/index.php/clina/article/view/clina202061127146}, DOI={10.14201/clina202061127146}, abstractNote={<p>From the perspective of the Spanish-Chinese translation of idioms <br /> —specifically in the field of clothing—, we analyze the divergences and convergences between these linguistic formulas in order to reveal the underlying cultural traditions or perceptions, as well as their corresponding proprietary structural metaphors, which will determine the translator’s always difficult choice of the pertinent strategies for the effective transfer of idioms from one language to another: transliteration, domestication or foreignization.
