Memories of Blue Eyebrows. The Writings of Painter Uemura Shōen
Abstract
The translation into Spanish of the memoirs of the Japanese female painter Uemura Shōen, known as Memories of blue eyebrows, is a text that shows this artist from a new perspective. Through the presentation of the life and work of Shōen and the analysis of her memoirs, I want to make a revaluation of the literature written by a woman artist, since they are writings of great richess that allow to elaborate an original reading of Shōen’s personal and professional life.
