In syntax, the sentences thus marked force a predictive approach, which investigates rules, and therefore exceeds the purely taxonomic analysis; in lexicography or morphology it has been used with some frequency as a component wildcard, while in diachronic approaches it indicates hypothetical forms, whose usefulness is not necessary to dwell on.<br /><em>Asterisco. Revista de lingüística española</em> focuses on the publication of original and unpublished research on the Spanish language in any field of linguistics and related disciplines. It is, therefore, a journal on Spanish linguistics and, preferably, in Spanish.</p>
