Reflections of a pseudopriscian treatise in the Carolingia Era

Abstract

Ps. Priscian’s De accentibus was written using traditional materials, but in some passages (GL III 519, 18-20, GL III 521, 19-21, GL III 521.24-31) the author does not follow his sources and presents alternative rules. The examination of these passages allows us to verify an intermediate stage in grammar’s theories between the Late Latin and the Carolingian era.
