The i/e Alternation in Mycenaean Greek
Résumé It has been observed1 that certain words in Mycenaean Greek show an alternation of ije, and that others show e where classical Greek has i, and vice versa. In attempting to discover the extent and origins of this phenomenon, I propose to make the following distinctions.
