Monophonemic Diphthongs in Mycenean
Résumé The difference in the graphical reproduction of the Mycenaean u- and i-diphthongs —when preceding a consonant— is a wellknown phenomenon of the Linear B spelling, the Mycenaean diphthongs au, eu, ou being in Linear B before a consonant as a rule reproduced by two signs.
