Bibliography on the Archaeological Background of the Linear B Tablets with Special Reference to Ideograms of Archaeological Interest

Abstract

Confronted with such a title, one may wonder what justification a bibliography of the sort can possibly have. Why not a «Study», a finished product, or nothing? In fact even a finished product concerned with this subject might be judged superfluous at this stage. There have been a number of studies on the subject and a new one is due to appear (cf. BCH94, 197(3, p. 301). Such studies have been either archaeological commentaries on the Linear ? ideograms or a tablets/ideograms appendix to the treatment of an archaeological object or objects.
