Present and future of the tradition in Unamuno
Abstract The young Unamuno elaborated a theoretical point of view of the tradition, based on his concept of intrahistoria and the principle of the historical continuity, against the retrograde traditionalism of his time. It's a rich thinking, constant in nearly the entire work of Unamuno, which can be embodied in the dialectics tradition-progress: The past is not valid without a continous re-vival of the present-future.
