Names, transes, reveries: the dream universe of the wixaritari
Abstract This paper presents an analysis of the dream world of the Huichol , an indigenous people inhabiting the mountains of western Mexico. Starting with examples, and through a study of the group's language and social organization, the analysis will show how dreams work, among other things, to articulate social and kinshipbetween the member of the group. In addition , the waydreams are narrated, shows the particular way this people are related not only to their ancestors and gods , but also with its territory and the environment and sacred sites.
