Brasília, round trip ... 60 years later
Abstract In 1962, Eduardo Toda Oliva, Spanish consul in Rio de Janeiro, signed the report “Brasilia, ida y vuelta” for the magazine Blanco y Negro, Madrid (Spain). As a result of a trip to visit the land that had been destined for the construction of the future headquarters of the Spanish Embassy in the country, the text brings together his impressions of the capital under construction. In addition to the partial reproduction of the original report, this article features unpublished photographs of the journey, provided by Fernando Toda, professor of Translation at USAL, who in this year of the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the city, Revista de Estudios Brasileños is honored to publish for the very first time.
