Abstract

Ana Maria Machado, one of Brazil's greatest contemporary writers, explains in this interview aspects related to three important facets of her professional career: her exile to Europe in the early 1970s, her writing for children and young people, and her novels for adults, all of which led her to become such a widely read author in Brazil and abroad.
