Género y trabajo doméstico no remunerado: «el efecto descarga» de casarse o unirse en Panamá
Resumen
Este artículo analiza cómo el estado conyugal influye en la dedicación al trabajo doméstico no remunerado de hombres y mujeres. Con datos de dos encuestas nacionales, se comparan personas unidas o casadas con quienes no lo están. Los resultados revelan efectos opuestos en parejas heterosexuales: la unión incrementa el trabajo doméstico de las mujeres y reduce significativamente el de los hombres. Se concluye que el estado conyugal es una variable clave en la brecha de género de estos trabajos.
