Clivajes sin partidos: el populismo y sus votantes en Perú

Resumen

Perú, pese a su volatilidad electoral y ausencia de partidos estables, presenta un patrón predecible de voto en torno a clivajes socioeconómicos, étnicos y territoriales. Estos favorecen a líderes populistas que movilizan a votantes de la periferia mediante narrativas que reivindican su identidad frente a élites del centro. El artículo demuestra que los clivajes sociales pueden persistir sin partidos estables y que el populismo peruano se arraiga en la periferia y su antagonismo con el centro.
