MANAGEMENT OF THE PATIENT WITH RHINOSINUSITIS AND NASAL POLYPS. FROM THE GUIDES TO THE CLINICAL PRACTICE
Abstract Chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps are a very frequent pathology in otolaryngology practice. Its management is a challenge, both in diagnosis, surgical indications, medical and surgical treatment or follow-up. Clinical guidelines, opinions of experts or surgical techniques described, constitute an important support for the management of these patients. Numerous conditions make that these guides are sometimes far from daily practice, being difficult to apply. This paper will try to combine the clinical guidelines with everyday reality, to advance in the knowledge of nasosinusal inflammatory pathology.
