Conectando investigación y docencia en la universidad: Teaching Research Nexus

Resumen

Este artículo presenta los resultados de una revisión de la literatura con la pretensión de profundizar en uno de los aspectos nucleares del trabajo del profesorado universitario: la investigación. Concretamente, el contenido del artículo transita desde los niveles de investigación en la universidad y los parámetros para entender al profesorado universitario como investigador, hasta la discusión en torno a la relación o independencia entre investigación y docencia, con el objetivo fundamental de ofrecer estrategias para desarrollar un enfoque integrado, teaching research nexus, con un espacio representativo en la discusión internacional. Las conclusiones evidencian que las relaciones entre investigación y docencia tienen beneficios inmediatos en la profundidad del aprendizaje de los estudiantes y la posibilidad de generar comunidades académicas de práctica.
